• In true millennial fashion, there are options and services here perfect for self sufficient travellers. These include a laundry room, luggage lockers and the option of self-check-in, along with a 24-hour mini-market and Starbucks. Other amenities include the blue-tiled pool complete with a good-sized sundeck and brilliant Burj Khalifa views, a small 24-hour gym with Technogym equipment, meeting rooms, prayers rooms and a PlayStation area with beanbags.

• Wanting to offer their guests literally everything they might need, The Daily Downtown Dubai is the hotel’s in-house convenience store and restaurant. While the convenience store aspect allows guests to stock up on travel essentials like toothpaste, shower gel and even diapers, the restaurant part of the Daily offers fantastic options for a big buffet breakfasts and all day dining. Pro tip: eating in the hotel (and taking advantage of the all-you-can-eat buffet) is a great way to save a bit of money on food to help you stick to your travel budget.

• The best thing about Rove Downtown has to be it's fantastic location. The hotel is across the road from the Dubai Mall, a 10-minute walk to Burj Khalifa and 15 minutes away from Dubai Opera. Other nearby landmarks include the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) which is 1.5 kilometres north and the Dubai Convention Centre which is less than 10 minutes away via taxi. For travellers wanting to explore further, the nearest metro station, Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, is right across the road.
