Top Tips
1. If you’re in it for the amazing views of Athens, definitely request to stay in one of the rooms on the higher floors. However, if you’re looking for a quiet escape after a long day of ancient landmark hopping, then you’re going to want to book one of the Classic rooms with private balconies overlooking the quiet and peaceful courtyard. With all that in mind, previous guests have highly recommended the Executive suite.
2. Your comfort is of the utmost importance to the creators of AthensWas. They go so far as to even offer you a Pillow Menu to choose from. That’s right, you get to choose from a variety of pillows from firm, to soft, and even hypoallergenic to ensure you get the best night’s sleep possible.
3. If you ever find yourself staying at AthensWas during the summer months, make sure to indulge in contemporary Greek cuisine and signature cocktails during lunch and dinner on the rooftop terrace bar/restaurant. In addition to the delicious food and drink, you’ll also be able to indulge in panoramic views of the city, its surrounding mountains, and the Aegean Sea.
4. It’s a bit of an understatement to say that there are plenty of landmarks to see in this historic city. Arguably the best way to acquaint yourself with this city is to follow Ancient Promenade, but if you’re looking for an alternative way to view all the sights of Athens, strap on your running shoes shoes and follow the jogging map provided by AthensWas.
5. Being right in the heart of the city, a stay at AthensWas guarantees that you’re just a 2 minute walk to Acropolis, it’s museum, and the Arch of Hadrian. Just a little further you’ll find The National Garden and the cable car to take you up to the top of Mount Lycabettus.
