Just 90 minutes north of San Francisco, right in the heart of Sonoma’s Wine Country is the amazing new outdoor lodging experience that is AutoCamp Russian River. Featuring modern and deluxe glamping accommodations like Luxury Tents, Airstream Suites, and Redwood Suites, Autocamp Russian River is the perfect marriage of outdoor living and plush comfort. Being in the Guerneville area, this accommodation is perfect for anyone; from the avid nature lover to the amatuer wine connosieur.

Top Tips:

1. While all the accommodation types are well-appointed, many previous guests have recommended booking an Airstream suite, specifically one that is creekside. Guests have also recommended the Airstream suites as they are much quieter than the Luxury canvas tents. If however, you or anyone you are travelling with has mobility issues, make sure to book the fully-accessible Redwood suite.

2. The campgrounds comprises of a common area known as Clubhouse. Here guests can find the camp reception, adventure desk, and shop that sells local wine and beer, snacks and camping essentials. The clubhouse also offers quiet spaces for relaxing including both indoor and outdoor fire pit lounges.

3. Being outdoor living friendly, it is no surprise that Autocamp Russian River is also pet friendly. If you’re thinking of bringing your furry friend with you during your stay, make sure to let the accommodation know well beforehand so that they can set you up in one of the pet friendly Airstream suites.

4. Autocamp Russian River is located in Guerneville area and because of this there is an endless amount of activities to sink your teeth into. If you’re a nature lover definitely talk a walk to the Russian River for activities like swimming, canoeing, or just to relax on the beach. If you’re a foodie, check out the funky downtown scene with a plethora of amazing restaurants and bars. If you’re a wine enthusiast, definitely explore the many vineyards in the area.

5. Guerneville is also home to Armstrong Redwoods Natural Reserve, a 805 acre woodland that is as awe-inspiring as it is ancient. With trees over a millennia old, this reserve is a great way for first-time visitors to learn about redwood trees, especially because of the Nature Trail and the Discovery Trail that features a unique tree-hugging platform.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
