In the shadow of Table Mountain, overlooking the pristine Clifton beaches of Cape Town, South Africa, is the luxurious getaway known as Cape View Clifton. Cantilevered high above the coastline, this boutique hotel offers amazing views of the famous Twelve Apostles and the magnificent South Atlantic Ocean. While a staff member is always on duty, there is very much a self-service atmosphere at this hotel making it the perfect accommodation for anyone looking for some time for themselves to enjoy their home away from home.

Top Tips

1. While all the rooms at Cape View Clifton have amazing views and are equally well appointed with all the amenities you’d expect, previous guests have recommended booking the Deluxe Suite for a much larger living space.

2. While Cape View Clifton offers spectacular views of the Twelve Apostles, Table Mountain, and the Clifton Beaches, none of these spots are easily accessible on foot from the hotel. Do yourself a favour and hire a car to explore and truly enjoy these attractions up close.

3. The hotel is a family friendly accommodation with two and three bedroom apartments available for families. That being said, it is recommended to only bring older well-behaved children during your stay as the public spaces of the hotel are on the smaller side and you will be in close proximity to other guests.

4. There is no in-house restaurant at Cape View Clifton. That being said, they do serve a daily breakfast. For lunch and dinner, however, you have the option to order from the Mr Delivery menu which gives you access to a range of takeout options, or arrange a transfer to any of the amazing restaurants on the hotel’s recommendations list. If you’re looking for a drink however, help yourself to any of the selection of local wines and beers at the honesty bar.

5.  If you are at a loss at what to do during your stay in Cape Town, go ahead to the front desk and ask for their recommendations. The highly knowledgeable staff will be glad to share all of the city’s secrets with you. On top of that, they can arrange transfers to almost anywhere you want to go in Cape Town.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
