4 Star

The cosy and luxurious adults-only boutique hotel in Pointe aux Canonniers redefines the word ‘magic’. It is located on the most beautiful and peaceful beaches on the island. It ensures the privacy and exclusivity of its guests. The hotel resembles a Mediterranean Villa with an unrivalled atmosphere. It gives the invigorate travellers a hint of playfulness in its fashionable Mauritian interiors. The 23 sea-facing inviting rooms are spacious featuring waxed concrete floors, rattan chairs, handmade sisal rugs, knitted bed throw and cushions to satisfy even the most discerning guest.

Top Tips:

• The hotel is not conditioned for babies and small kids. Only children older than 12 years are allowed.

• For more privacy, it is recommended to book the room upstairs but not directly above the restaurant. Pro-Tip: Room 210 is quiet and away from the noisier communal areas with beautiful sea views.

• The food quality is great; the dinner is different every night. Pro-Tip: Be early to get a table by sea to enjoy the dinner in the moon light.

• The hotel provides kayaks and stand up paddle boards and that too free of charge.

• The use of free bicycles is a real plus. The bicycles give you an easy way to tour the surrounding area and to explore the fantastic array of great restaurants.

• The hotel is far away to reach other facilities, which would be tiring if it is hot. Pro-Tip: Ask the hotel management to arrange a taxi or other vehicle to venture outside the hotel.

• The beach is not perfect as there is some seaweed close to the shore and small coral along the beach. Pro-Tip: To protect your feet beach shoes are recommended.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
