Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok Resort & Spa merges the Le Touessrok’s rich history and the chic Mauritian style. It is nestled along the eastern coast of the verdant island nation, where uncrowded world-class beaches are found. It offers unparalleled personalization and privacy in an environment of refined island luxury. The hotel’s contemporary design complements the natural landscape. It delivers Asian-style elegance with the renowned Shangri-La’s hospitality. 200 ocean-facing rooms and suites are thoughtfully renovated with marble floors, custom-made furniture, raw edged tropical mango wood and artworks.

Top Tips:

• Avoid booking the rooms near the bar. The loud music played in the bar might annoy you.

• Most of the restaurants are fully booked. The only option that is always available, is the Buffet. Pro-Tip: Book a table in the restaurant at least 2 days before.

• You may ask for specific things if the available breakfast buffet options don’t suit you. Just don't hesitate to ask.

• The hotel beaches are not so great when compared with other places on the island. Pro-Tip: The private island, Ilot Mangenie, owned by the hotel, is a paradise.

• The property doesn't offer any ATM. If you need cash, you have to go the nearest town.

• Chi, the Spa & wellness centre is booked all the time. Pro-Tip: For massage and treatments, book your slot at least 3 days before.

• For water sports activities, you have to get a short boat ride. Though it is extra fun but not great if you have babies or small children.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
