Looking to find your zen on the shores of Miami, Florida? Then the discreetly luxurious Setai, Miami Beach may be just what you are looking for. With sweeping oceanfront views, an Oriental design motif, pan-Asian cuisine and an elegant poolscape, The Setai provides its guests private and personalised service where no request is too extravagant. Having been honored with the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award since 2015, you are guaranteed your own personalised slice of paradise.

Top tips

1. The Setai has two different buildings, the historic Art Deco building and the 40-storey modern tower. While the majority of the hotel’s rooms are housed in the Art Deco building, these rooms only offer city and courtyard views. The oceanfront views are only available in the modern tower. That being said, interior design of sleek polished wood, neutral tones and modern lines are the same in both buildings. It is worth noting that Ocean suites (in the modern tower) come with exclusive benefits including round trip airport transfers, breakfast, spa treatments and more, making them luxurious (and expensive) stays.

2. The Setai is situated on the northern stretches of South Beach, which is a more subdued and sophisticated than the rest of Miami. Make the most of your stay and explore Lincoln Road, the dining, nightlife and all of the area’s other main attractions which are only a short walk away. Explore the beach in style with The Setai’s stylish fleet of custom designed bicycles available exclusively and complimentary to the guests of the hotel. Created exclusively for The Setai, the bicycles are made for ocean-side riding along sand and water or down the palm-tree lined streets of stunning South Beach.

3. If you’re travelling with children, you’ll be happy to know that, with spacious suites, ample facilities and exemplary service, The Setai is a very family-friendly hotel. On top of that, Miami has a host of activities available for even the youngest guests. These include the Miami Children’s Museum (where pre-school-aged children can learn through play), Jungle Island (a massive aviary home to more 3,500 birds and animals, including monkey and reptiles), the Museum of Science (an ideal place for children to have a hands-on experience of the marvels of science), Seaquarium (a marine-life rehabilitation centre), and Zoo Miami (a habitat-based zoo).

4. If you or anyone you’re travelling with has mobility issues, you’ll be happy to know that The Setai is highly accessible. With adapted rooms, accessible public areas and pools, and highly personalised service you will feel more than comfortable throughout your stay at The Setai.

5. If you’re a bit of a Goldilocks when it comes to pool temperature than you’re going to absolutely love The Setai’s 3 pools; each set at varying temperatures. Swim laps in the 23-degree lap pool, lounge poolside by the 29-degree centre pool, or take everyone for a dip in the family pool, kept at a warm 35 degrees (all temperatures are stated in Celcius). And when you’re done swimming for the day, visit The Setai’s Asian-inspired spa which offers specially formulated THÉMAÉ treatments and products curated from four types of teas: red, white, green and black teas.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
