Top Tips
• There are 60 spacious rooms and villas scattered across the resort’s sprawling grounds, all of which have gorgeous rice terrace and tropical forest views. Most of the previous guests have recommended booking one of the river view rooms or a villa with a private plunge pool for added luxury. But if you’re looking for a little more privacy, we recommend booking one of the villas located near the entrance as these are further away from the pool, main building and common areas. Pro tip: if you’re after a specific room or villa, it is worth booking it long in advance of your stay, especially if you plan on travelling in the peak season.
• While the romantic, secluded atmosphere of the Four Seasons Sayan may suggest that it is an adult-only resort, this couldn’t be further away from the truth. Children of all ages are very welcome and under 18s can share rooms with their parents or guardians at no extra charge. Additionally, children under five receive free meals when accompanied, while youngsters age five to 12 are entitled to a 50 per cent discount. To make your little ones feel even more welcome, there are even specialised welcome gifts, mini-robes and slippers, children's menus, babysitting services and plenty of family-friendly activities.
• If you’re looking for activities to partake in during your stay, you’ll be happy to hear that the Four Seasons Sayan offers a complimentary programme of activities available to all guests. During your stay you can find the programme in your room or suite, the programme included a selection of yoga classes, guided walks, cycling, life talk series, meditation classes and Balinese dance performances. The activities vary from day to day and you can take part in as many of them as you please. Pro tip: if you’re looking to switch off and refocus your mind, head to one of the resort’s complimentary meditation classes.
• While you may feel like you’re in your very own secluded paradise during your stay at the Four Seasons Sayan, you’re actually only 15 minutes away from Bali’s cultural and spiritual hub, Ubud and the hotel operates a free shuttle service into town until 5pm. While the airport can take up to two hours to get to in bad traffic, the Four Seasons' leather-clad, air-conditioned, Wi-Fi-enabled limousine (which can be arranged prior) certainly makes the transfer easier to bear.
• After a long day exploring the lush surrounds of the resort, why not find your inner serenity at the Four Seasons Sayan’s in-house wellness centre, Sacred River Spa. Drawing on the water’s energy and ancient Balinese healing rituals, this spa offers guests a wide selection of treatments and multi-day programs to re-centre yourself and restore balance and harmony to your body’s key energy centres.
