Located right on the Ringstraße boulevard in the centre of Vienna, is the beautiful Grand Ferdinand. Wanting to recapture eras in Vienna in which nothing was more meaningful than embodying what was good, the Grand Ferdinand reflects this through it’s opulent yet inviting decor. Top Tips
1. Every room at the Grand Ferdinand is beautifully designed and offers luxurious comfort for anyone lucky enough to stay the night. That being said, if you want to dial the luxury right up, book one of the Suites on the seventh floor. Not only will you be amazed by the spectacular views, you’ll also get to soak in all the comfort in an elegant claw-foot bathtub.
2. In case you were hoping to spend an entire day lounging around in your room, be aware that there is no room service at the Grand Ferdinand. Our suggestion is to roam the local streets, stock up on some cheap eats and smuggle them back into your room.
3. If you find yourself in Vienna and staying at the Grand Ferdinand during one of the warmer months (June, July, or August), definitely take advantage of their impressive rooftop infinity pool. Whether you’re sipping a cocktail poolside on one of the wicker chairs or cooling off in the beautiful water, you will be in absolute awe of the amazing views of the Ringstrasse.
4. It is your duty as a guest of Vienna to drink and eat your weight in coffee and cake. Make sure to explore the many local cafes surrounding the Grand Ferdinand. Stuck on what to order? Get a Mélange (a cappuccino-like drink), and a slice of Guglhupf, and you’re going to blend in with the locals in no time.
5. Because you’re in Vienna, you’re going to be inevitably surrounded by art and culture. Soak it all in with a short stroll to the Wien Museum or take in a show at the Wiener Staatsoper or the Wiener Konzerthaus.
