Deep in the heart of Marrakech and only moments from its energetic epicentre, Jemaa el Fna, is the discreetly luxurious Riad Adore. Housing a mere 10 bedrooms, the riad exudes a sense of intimacy and exclusivity. Run with the philosophy of Moroccan hospitality, the staff of Riad Adore will make any guest feel like royalty with their uber attentive and genuinely caring service. Because the riad has been carefully and meticulously refurbished (maintaining most of its original features) it evokes all the charms of traditional riad style while providing all the creature comforts desired by discerning travellers.

Top tips

1. While all the rooms of Riad Adore are immaculately designed and incredibly well appointed, most of them are the same cosy size. So, if you’re looking for a bit more room, make sure to book the airy Victoria Suite which is equipped with its very own balcony overlooking the pool. It goes without saying that if your heart is set on the Victoria Suite, make sure to book it well ahead of your trip.

2. If you or any of your travel partners have mobility issues, Riad Adore will be happy to accommodate. Not only is street access from the riad very easy (with taxis around every corner), Riad Adore has two ground floor rooms off the swimming pool courtyard that are highly accessible.

3. Once you’ve booked your stay with Riad Adore, make sure to request an airport transfer from the riad itself. Many previous guests have shared less than savoury stories regarding dodgy taxi drivers and getting lost in the labyrinth-like streets of Marrakech trying to find the riad. Moreover, an airport transfer booked directly through Riad Adore will ensure a door-to-door chauffeur service.

4. You can’t go to Marrakech without a trip or two (or three) to Jemaa el Fna. That being said, the maze-like market with its thousands of shops and hundreds of snaking lanes can be very intimidating for the uninitiated. If you’re looking for a particular item (like a silk carpet or a stain glass lamp), make sure to ask the staff of Riad Adore for recommendations and directions. They will be more than happy to help. Bonus tip: don’t forget to try out the snails in the main square.

5. After a long day of exploring the souks, it’s understandable that you would want a bit of pampering and a lot of rest and relaxation. Look no further than Riad Adore’s very own mini hammam.Located on the rooftop terrace, the treatment room and hammam provides an oasis of calm for guests to enjoy a myriad of spa treatments like manicures, pedicures, and massages. For those who want to just soak in the Moroccan sun, head up to the roof terrace and park yourself on one of their many loungers.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
