Soaring high above Bangkok’s glittering skyline is the ever-welcoming and ever-luxurious, 137  Pillars Suites and Residences. Inspired by the laidback nature of Chiang Mai, this luxury accommodation was built to offer a peaceful escape from frenetic Bangkok to anyone who sought after it. Featuring 34 lush suites named after the great royal periods in Thailand’s history, each room was crafted and created to fully embody and exude Thai hospitality. So, if money's no object and you find yourself in the City of Angels, do yourself a favour and stay at the 137 Pillar Suites.

Top Tips

1. Because 137 Pillar Suites was created with utmost luxury in mind, every room is equally equipped with private dining tables, butler service (yes, butler service), maxi bars with private wine cellars, user friendly mood lighting, high ceilings, large walk-in wardrobes, beautiful en-suite bathrooms and chic circular baths complete with built in TV. That being said, previous guests have recommended to splash some cash and book one of the bigger suites.

2. While the sumptuous contemporary suites with stunning city views should be what draws you to 137 Pillar Suites, the pièce de résistance is the hotel’s rooftop infinity pool. Not only does it boast the most instagram-worthy skyline views ever, the 20-metre infinity pool has no barriers and will make you feel as though you are floating above the city when you take a dip.

3. While it may be tempting to spend your entire holiday within the luxurious walls of this hotel, if you ever plan on exploring Bangkok in a more down-to-earth way, the hotel is less than 1 kilometre away from the nearest BTS station (Phrom Phong station). Don’t feel like walking? The hotel offers free private transfers to and from Emquartier shopping mall which is connected to the Phrom Phong BTS station.

4. The hotel is located in the heart of Bangkok’s upscale emquartier and emporium shopping area and the fashionable Sukhumvit Thonglor District. This makes it perfectly positioned for both business and pleasure.

5. 137 Pillars offers 2 luxurious dining options, Bangkok Trading Post and Nimitr Fine Dining, and you can enjoy a sampling of their amazing offerings from the comfort of your own room, served by your own butler. For a more authentic (and wallet friendly) taste of Thailand, however, we recommend exploring the other food-filled districts of Bangkok such as Chinatown, Old Town, Silom and Sathorn.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
