The Eastin Grand Hotel is a deluxe commercial hotel. It is located in the business hub only at a distance of 2 km from the Chao Phraya river. It offers 390 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, for the comfort of both; business and leisure travellers. It features the latest amenities, decorated in soft, exquisite tones to enjoy the dazzling views of Bangkok’s imposing skyline. Unique in being the only hotel in Bangkok that has direct access to the BTS Sky Train system at Surasak Station, which literally brings the city to your doorstep.

Top tips

• There are not so many locations to eat around the hotel. The Sathorn road is bereft of any shopping but you can reach the Surasak BTS station via a special ramp leading directly from the 3rd floor.

• Using public transit is advisable if you know the congested streets of Bangkok. Beware there are no downward escalators and carrying your luggage might create problems for you.

• The hotel is situated in the financial district, and access from and to the airport is a little inconvenient. The Sathorn road is very busy and it’s really hard to get there during the rush hours.

• The bars and restaurants are relatively cheap when compared with other hotels of this standard. A great roof top infinity pool on the 14th floor, offers stunning and mesmerizing views of Bangkok city.

• Do try out ‘The LUCE restaurant’ on the 14th floor. It serves the freshest Italian Cuisine and seafood coupled with an eclectic selection of drinks and cocktails, in a chilled out atmosphere of sheer relaxation and indulgence.

• Though the hotel food is great but it is recommended to have the food on the streets where you will be able to experience the real Thai style food.

• The hotel is only one stop away from the river boat, which is a lovely option to take, to get to some of the sights, such as Wat Pho.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
