Top Tips
• The 11 suites of Bay of Many Coves are available in one, two or three bedrooms. Lucky for you, they all come equipped with comfy king-sized beds and balconies overlooking the beautiful blue bay. While all the suites are comfortably decorated and equipped with necessities like kitchenettes, entertainment systems and minibars, previous guests have recommended requesting suites on higher up on the hill to get better, more spectacular views.
• It is worth noting that because of the nature of the resort (specifically how to get there and what activities are available), the Bay of Many Coves is not suitable for families travelling with infant children. That being said, older children are more than welcome to stay and join in the outdoor fun. Please be advised that children under 14 years old are not permitted in the resort’s restaurant after 7pm, but if you want to have a family dinner after that time, you are more than welcome to do so in the lounge.
• If you or anyone you are travelling with have mobility issues, it is worth noting that parts of the resort grounds are incredibly steep. That being said, you will be glad to hear that motorised buggies are on hand and will ferry you to and from your room and the main building. On top of that, all of the 11 suites of Bay of Many Coves have accessible interiors.
• Because you’re surrounded by such lush nature, we recommend spending at least a day getting lost in it. Start by taking one of several tracks that lead out from the resort into the 52 hectares of private bush that are alive with native birds and wildlife. Go ahead and venture from the Bay of Many Coves Resort to the Queen Charlotte Track, or alternatively, let the resort arrange a boat pick up from any of the entry and exit points along this magnificent walkway. Other outdoor activities to partake in around the resort include kayaking, dolphin watching, wine tours, sailing, eco cruising and plenty more.
• While Bay of Many Coves is the only five star luxury resort and spa in the Marlborough Sounds, it houses a whopping three different restaurants and eateries. There is the Foredeck restaurant (where you can enjoy a degustation while being mesmerised by amazing views), the Bight Cafe (an easy-going and relaxed cafe with an exceptional range of local cuisines, fine wines and superb coffee), and lastly, there is the Kumatage Guest Lounge (a place to relax over breakfast, brunch or lunch while taking in great views of the bay).
