• While all the converted silos are fully equipped and perfectly cosy, request Silo 4 or any of the ones along the roadside for the best views. But if you’d like a quieter stay request a silo away from the road.

• Pack your walking shoes to truly take advantage of the lovely walking trails in Little River.

• If you’d like to do more, hire a car to drive to Akaroa which is only half an hour away or drive a little further to get to Christchurch which is an hour away.

• Stay in the summer months when you can open the hatches of the silos and gaze up at the stars of the beautiful night sky.

• There aren’t too many dining options in Little River but each silo is equipped with kitchenette facilities. That being said, gourmet microwave meals can be provided upon request.

• Because of the limited storage space within the silos and limited activities surrounding this hotel, SiloStay is best suited for a quick weekend getaway.
