Smack bam in the centre of Amsterdam, just a stone’s throw away from Dam Square, stands the ever stylish Hotel V Nesplein. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by relaxedly hip and quirky Dutch design combined with classic interior touches; think a grand chandelier hanging at waist level in the lobby mixed with soft leather sofas, butterfly chairs, and mustard yellow wallpaper. Not only perfect as a home base, the hotel’s in-house restaurant, The Lobby, is a great place to rub elbows with the locals.

Top Tips

1. Hotel V Nesplein is a highly popular place to stay for travellers and locals at any time of year, so make sure to book your stay well in advance. Alternatively, you can try your luck and be flexible with your dates but we definitely suggest the former to avoid disappointment.

2. If you’re a light sleeper or would just like a quieter stay, make sure to request a room at the back the hotel on the second floor or higher.

3. There are no parking facilities in the hotel so it would be best not to rent a car during your stay. Don’t fret though as the hotel provides bike hire services and is located at a walking distance to two transit stops.

4. Breakfast is not inclusive in the price of your stay but the hotel does provide breakfast at an additional cost. That being said, being so central in Amsterdam it is more worthwhile to go exploring and have breakfast outside of the hotel.

5. If you are at a loss and need suggestions for restaurants and sights to see, the helpful and energetic staff of Hotel V Nesplein are more than happy to help. So, ask away!

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
