The Hoxton in Amsterdam may be the little sister to the branches in Shoreditch and Holborn but it is in no way lesser! Made up of five historic canalside houses, the Hoxton offers all the comforts of a contemporary hotel with all the charm and character of retro Amsterdam. The Hoxton is the perfect home base for all your Dutch adventures!

Top Tips

• When choosing your room at the Hoxton Amsterdam, you have to keep in mind whether you’d prefer awesome views or a quieter night’s stay. While canal view rooms provide a much more memorable view, rooms that don’t face the canal tend to be a lot more quiet.

• Depending on the type of room you book, you may be able to request a room on the higher floors to get away from the noise; the higher you stay, the less noise there will be.

• Being Amsterdam, there is no parking available at the hotel so it wouldn’t be advisable to bring or rent a car. Don’t worry though, you’ll still be able to explore Amsterdam and get around by renting one of the bicycles provided to you by the hotel at a small additional fee.

• Herengracht canal is one of Amsterdam’s most desirable and central locations, so when you stay at the Hoxton, you will be in the middle of it all! All of the city's top attractions are within walking distance, from the Anne Frank House to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum.

• During your stay, you will receive a ‘breakfast bag’ outside your bedroom door each morning, with yoghurt, pastries and orange juice. If you’re looking for more substantial fare, such as avocado and poached eggs on toast, these options are available from Lotti’s, the in-house restaurant.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
