Ever dreamt of living the life of a noble Scotsman in the highlands? Thanks to the beautiful Inverlochy Castle Hotel, you can! Once complimented by Queen Victoria as being tje most lovely and romantic spot she had ever seen, this castle is nestled amongst a ring of highland peaks in the magnificent Scottish West Highlands. While the interior design of this castle still harks back to days of yonder, each of Inverlochy’s 17 suites are immaculately equipped with all the comforts of modern day luxury living.

Top Tips

1. While all 17 suites in Inverlochy Castle Hotel are luxuriously decorated to give all guests the royal experience, previous guests have recommended booking the Queen’s Suite (aka Room #1). As the name suggests, this room was once occupied by Queen Victoria herself. As a royal suite, it is decorated with rich fine antique furniture and has magnificent views of the surrounding properties.

2. While the entire property is surrounded by breathtaking, instagram-worthy views, many previous guest have suggested requesting a suite with views of the loch and fields at the front of the castle.

3. Pets are more than welcome at this property! While most of the suites at Inverlochy Castle are suitable for small to medium dogs, previous guests have recommended the Gate Lodge for visitors with much larger dogs. The Gate Lodge is a 3-minute walk from the main castle and comprises of one double room, one single room, one bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen. Unfortunately, room service is not available at the Gate Lodge.

4. There is no shortage of activities at the Inverlochy Castle. There are endless outdoor activities to partake in from skiing to whitewater rafting, off-road driving and even fishing. If you’re feeling really fancy, you could even spend the day rowing around the pretty loch and end the night sipping whisky in the billiard room.

5. While you can make your way to Inverlochy Castle in your own car through Glencoe and up the Great Glen, if you want to full royal treatment hop onto the West Highland Line and make your way to Fort William via steam train. At the station you will be collected by the hotel’s very own Rolls Royce.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
