Top Tips
1. Alex Hotel has accommodation ranging from dorm rooms to private rooms of all sizes. All the rooms are equally well-appointed and beautifully decorated. That being said, if you opt for a private room, many guests have recommended booking the X-Large Rooms; specifically Room 602 for its corner balcony, and Room 515 as it’s the biggest room in the hotel.
2. If you or anyone you are travelling with has mobility issues, let the hotel know well in advance of your trip. They will gladly put you in one of the four adapted rooms in the hotel. These rooms are slightly larger than the average Medium Rooms.
3. Looking to explore Perth without a car? Make sure to borrow one of the elegant vintage-style Lekker Bikes that the hotel offers to its guests for free (yes, for free). Because of Perth’s flat terrain and ever-expanding network of bike trails, your stay at Alex Hotel could be the perfect cycling holiday!
4. The hotel is located in the Northbridge neighbourhood which is also home to Perth’s Cultural Centre. Because of this you’ll have plays, live shows, and amazing art exhibits right at your doorstep. For a healthy dose of art and culture, make sure to visit the Art Gallery of West Australia and the Blue Room Theatre.
5. While Perth itself is a great holiday destination, many travellers use it as a home base to take day trips to Rottnest Island! Just off the coast of the bustling city, this laidback and tranquil paradise island provides a getaway for Perth locals and travellers alike. Hop on the Rottnest ferry and spend your day cycling around the beautiful island, and meeting and greeting its local quokkas (aka the happiest animals on earth).
