Close to Perth’s historic heart and contemporary soul and set within Cathedral Square is the majestically transformed Como the Treasury. Housed inside a grand 19th century building that was once used by the state, this hotel now offers 48 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites designed by internationally renowned Kerry Hill Architects to reflect the highest standards of luxury. Being so close to the city-centre, you’re a stone’s throw away from Perth’s best sights including St. George’s Cathedral, Perth Concert Hall, and Kings Park.

Top Tips

1. Each of the 48 rooms and suites of the Como are well appointed and gorgeously designed to exude comfort and luxury. With that being said, many previous guests have recommended booking one of the Heritage Balcony Rooms with walk-out balconies that overlook Cathedral Square.

2. If you are planning a trip to Perth, aim for anytime between August and March. It is during this period that Perth experiences a comfortable mild weather and typically clear skies with temperatures averaging between a 9ºC minimum in September through to a daily maximum of 32ºC in February.

3. During your stay, make sure to take full advantage of the hotel’s spa, Como Shambhala Urban Escape. Specialising in hands-on healing and holistic treatments, the treatments help proactively improve and sustain good health by combining both Western and Eastern wellness traditions and practices. Offering a variety of different massages and facials, your rest and relaxation is guaranteed.

4. Being in the heart of Perth, Como the Treasury offers a perfect home base for anyone looking to explore the city. Stroll through Northbridge and sample its many small bars and eateries, walk through the historical Cathedral Square precinct, check out one of the world’s largest musical instruments on Elizabeth Quay, or explore the beautiful coastlines of Perth. And if you really want to take full advantage of the city, make sure to take a walking tour.

5. If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, your paradise escape is only a 30-minute ferry ride away. Hop onto one of the Rottnest Island ferries from Elizabeth Quay and spend a day or two cycling around the car-free island and making friends with quokkas (aka the world’s happiest animal).

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
