Top Tips
1. According to some previous guests, the neighbourhood can be quite hard to describe to taxi drivers (and in general, Malaysian taxi drivers can be quite a handful). With that in mind, call ahead and either ask the hotel staff for specific directions or to arrange a hotel transfer service for you.
2. Because of the building’s structure, some of the rooms have obstructed views. So if having a view is high up on your list, make sure to request a room with an unobstructed view when you book your stay. Bonus tip: ask for a room with a view of KL Tower.
3. If you’re planning on having a chilled out day by the pool, make sure to plan ahead and head to the pool deck early in the day. It is quite a small area especially when you compare it to the number of rooms available at Hotel Stripes. Bonus tip: the pool deck has amazing views of KL Tower.
4. There are 3 dining options at Hotel Stripes; Brasserie 25, The Snug, and Man Tao Bar. Brasserie 25 is a rustic French restaurant that serves delights like baked camembert, steak frites, and creme brulee, The Snug is a cosy restaurant on the second floor that serves a buffet breakfast every morning, and Man Tao Bar is a delightful poolside speakeasy that serves delicious share plates and tasty cocktails.
5. If you bring/rent a car during your stay at Hotel Stripes, be aware that there is no non-valet parking onsite so you will have to pay the RM10 a day for valet parking (plus, there’s usually a wait every time you need your car). We suggest sticking to Uber or GrabCar.
