Hidden on a cliff in a peaceful pocket of Palma bay, Cap Rocat is a former 19th century military fort come boutique hotel offering the best of Majorca, Spain. With only 26 rooms and suites on offer and absolutely no nearby properties, Cap Rocat offers a level of exclusivity almost unmatched by other hotels in the greater area. And with understated and discreet service with a smile and no request too demanding, Cap Rocat ensures that each and every guest feels and is treated like Spanish royalty.

Top Tips

1. With only a handful of rooms and suites on hand, guests can rest assured that each room is well equipped and meticulously maintained. It is worth noting that not every room has a sea view. If you’re looking for sea views, we recommend booking rooms starting with a 2 or 3. If you’d rather wake up to views of Palma bay and the mountains, we recommend booking a room beginning with 4. Cap Rocat suites are former shooting pads and each of them come with their own private patio and terrace. If you have a particular preference of a room for your stay, make sure to call in advance to request your preferred room or suite.

2. It is worth noting that due to the heritage nature of the hotel and the steep cliffside location, Cap Rocat is not suitable for young children. That being said, kids over 15 years old are more than welcome. Extra beds are available at €162 a night, and the hotel has plenty of space for restless teens to roam around and explore in (not to mention the many instagrammable moments that they’re bound to love!).

3. If you or anyone else you’re travelling with has mobility issues, you’ll be glad to hear that Cap Rocat is suitable for your needs. While not specially adapted, suites offer easy access for wheelchairs and there are ramps around the hotel. Getting around property is a breeze thanks to the fleet of golf buggies that transport guests to and from their rooms. On top of that, the newly installed spa also has wheelchair access.

4. The pièce de résistance of Cap Rocat has to be the amazing and picturesque Fortress Swimming Pool. The hotel’s spectacular salt water infinity swimming pool is located on one of the walls of the former fortress, overlooks the sea, and is flanked by cool and comfy white leather sunbeds, perfect for a long lazy day of lounging in the Spanish sun. If you were hoping to take a dip in the ocean, you’re in luck! Cap Rocat has direct access to the sea with different swimming areas which have been set up around the former pier, all of which are now part of a natural reserve. They are exceptionally gorgeous spots to enjoy the fantastic and crystal clear Mediterranean sea. Pro tip: complimentary snorkelling equipment is available to guests upon request.

5. If you could be tempted away from the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean or get sick of lounging about all day, Cap Rocat is only a 25-minute drive to Palma. You could spend an entire day exploring the town’s myriad of shops, galleries, eateries and main attractions. It’s definitely worth asking the hotel staff for their recommendations of Palma during your stay.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
