Set on a 215-hectare estate in Malaga, Spain, Finca Cortesin has everything you could possibly want in a 5 star resort; an award winning hotel, a championship golf course, an outstanding spa and sport facilities, a magnificent beach club and an exclusive shopping area. As a destination stay, Finca Cortesin Hotel was built and designed to be glamorous and comfortable at the same time. And with their attentive staff catering to your every need, this resort hotel truly embodies your extravagant home-away-from-home.

Top Tips

• There are 67 suites at Finca Cortesin, spanning from junior suites to private villas and they are all equally well appointed and gorgeously designed. While the junior suites may be the cheapest rooms on offer, they by no means cheap lack the luxury of the rest of the suites on offer. Housed in an Andalucian-inspired building that wraps around a cloistered courtyard, these spacious suites come with their own entrance hallways, and are furnished in a comfortable Spanish style. If you’re looking for added privacy, Executive Suite 74, which overlooks the pool, gardens and sea, has its own kitchen and is ideal for entertaining.

• While well-behaved children are welcome at Finca Cortesin Hotel and there is plenty of room in the suites and grounds, it is worth noting that guests visit this resort hotel for the serene atmosphere. That being said, the hotel will go above and beyond to make sure that your little ones are comfortable and happy during their stay. If you need a cot or an extra bed they cost €83.60 (£66). All other amenities and services like babysitting, a Playstation, Wii or more old-fashioned games are all available on request.

• To make the most of your stay in this beautiful part of the coast, we recommend hiring a rental car for the duration of your stay. Getting around without one is nearly impossible as buses in this area are few and far between. And don’t worry about parking, the hotel offers free covered parking to all of its guests. If you are uncomfortable navigating the local roads however, the hotel staff will happily help you arrange for transport during your stay.

• The Finca Cortesin hotel is home to one of Spain's finest golf courses, a treat for aficionados and novices alike. With a choice of 5 different tees and impressive landscaping encapsulating the pure natural essence of the surrounding area, it is worth using your time at Finca Cortesin’s golf course to perfect your swing. If you need some help, the Jack Nicklaus Academy and swing analysis will do just the trick. For guests less interested in golfing, there is the Beach Club, at Bahia de Casares, boasting an infinity pool, Balinese sun loungers, a restaurant serving seafood and tapas, and a bar with stellar cocktails.

• If you can be torn from the warm cradle of Finca Cortesin, the resort is just a two-hour drive from the Alhambra Palace (one of the great Wonders of the World), the historic city of Ronda, Malaga and its museums, the wineries of Jerez, and Seville and its world-famous Feria de Sevilla. On top of all that, the exotic city of Tangier lies a mere 30 minutes away by speedboat.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
