Tucked away in the heart of the romantic Gothic district of Barcelona is where old world meets new in the form of Hotel Neri. Housed in a 17th century mansion, the muted neutral interiors beautifully juxtapose the style and original features of the centuries-old building. Set right beside the city’s Cathedral, Hotel Neri is just a short distance from the bustling Las Ramblas, la Boqueria market, the Picasso museum, making it the perfect homebase to discover Barcelona. And with an inviting rooftop bar, we wouldn’t blame you for spending the day soaking in the panoramic views while enjoying tapas and drinks.

Top Tips
• Hotel Neri houses 22 rooms and suites as well as 6 serviced apartments. While all the rooms are gorgeously designed and equally well appointed, previous guests have recommended booking the Deluxe room with a Terrace. Not only does this room come with a private enclosed terrace (as the name would suggest), it even comes with your very own outdoor bath and shower. If you’re looking for more space or simply to up the ante however, we recommend booking the Neri Suite. This suite comes with a separate living area providing more space and a room with views to the Gothic quarter streets. Pro tip: Noise from adjacent Plaça Sant Filip Neri can be a problem, so light sleepers should stay clear of rooms overlooking the Square.
• If you or anyone you’re travelling with has mobility issues, it may be worth noting that Hotel Neri is located on a narrow pedestrian street. This makes it difficult for those who need to be dropped at the front door. That being said however, Hotel Neri has one room has been adapted for wheelchair users. Pro tip: if you require this room, let the hotel know in advance of your stay. They will also be able to make the necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and easy arrival.
• For a hotel that is known as such an exclusive little hideaway, Hotel Neri really makes a real effort with families. They can even lend buggies and baby baths when and if they are needed. On top of that, children have their own toiletries and hangers, and get oreos and milk at turndown. Children up to the age of 12 stay for free and those under the age of 11 get free breakfast with their stay.
• If you were planning on bringing your puppy pal with you during your trip to Barcelona, you’ll be happy to hear that Hotel Neri is a dog-friendly accommodation. Their Anima Hotels program allows all family members (including the four-legged, furry ones) to stay. In the program, Hotel Neri offers families with furry friends rooms with a terrace, a washable bed, trough, water and even a welcome cookie.
• The location of Hotel Neri, right in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, has to be it’s shining glory. The charming Barri Gòtic has narrow medieval streets that are filled with trendy bars, clubs and Catalan restaurants. For those looking for a little history, the Museu d'Història de Barcelona shows remains of the Roman city. For offbeat fashionista’s, artisans sell leather and jewelry near the Cathedral of Barcelona. Amnd for those wanting to be a part of Barcelona life, local flower stalls and street-food vendors line the busy avenue, La Rambla.

With close to 10 years in the travel industry, it's safe to say that I'm a travel addict.

Since my first flight at 8 months of age, I've travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and part of North America. Some of the highlights were sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands in Oman, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, walking on the Great Wall of China, climbing the Eiffel Tower, cruising from St Petersburg to Moscow, eating streetfood in Penang, exploring the Rocky Mountains in Canada and hanging loose in Hawaii.

I currently spend all my time putting together epic life-changing mastermind retreats or meticulously planning Luxury Tailor-made holidays around the world.
